JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and more
AI Face Blur automatically finds faces in your photo and covers them with a mosaic or blur. Whether you're sharing a group photo with family or colleagues, or posting street photography, you can protect people's identities before uploading. Detection and blurring all happen inside your browser — the image is never sent to a server.
How to use it
- 1Upload the photo you want to blur. Supports JPG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC.
- 2Press "Detect Faces" and the AI will automatically find and highlight every face.
- 3Tap a face to toggle it off if it was caught by mistake; drag on the image to manually add any faces that were missed.
- 4Choose between mosaic and blur, adjust the intensity, then save.
Handy tips
- Small or side-on faces can be missed by auto-detection. Just drag a box over them to add the area manually.
- Higher intensity makes the blur harder to reverse. If identity protection is the goal, turn it up.
- You can drag to cover anything else you want hidden too — licence plates, documents, and so on.
Frequently asked questions
No. Face detection and blurring both happen entirely inside your browser, and the image is never uploaded anywhere. Only the AI face-detection model is downloaded once and cached locally.
Mosaic and blur destroy the underlying pixel information, making restoration very difficult — and the higher the intensity, the safer. Keep the original file separately if you need it.
Small, side-on, or back-lit faces can be missed. Drag a selection box directly on the image to add the area you want to cover, and it will be blurred the same way.
Yes. The AI finds all the faces in the photo in one pass, marks each one individually, and you can toggle any of them on or off as needed.
